Recently, the largest solar power plant in Bosnia and Herzegovina has officially started construction.
The power plant is located near Komaneburdo village in Stolac, Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a peak power generation of 125 megawatts.
The investment amount for this power plant is 100 million euros. According to investors' estimates, the power plant is expected to generate approximately 200 gigawatt hours of electricity annually for the next 30 years.
Mayor Stjepan Bo š kovi ć of Stolac, along with representatives from project developer Aurora Solar and contractor China North International Cooperation Co., Ltd., jointly laid the foundation.
According to the local government website, in recent years, the city of Storac has actively promoted solar energy projects, with a particular focus on the Komaneburdo region. Expected annual revenue from franchising and utility fees is 1.53 million to 2.05 million euros.
